LAVic Awards:
At the Gala Awards Dinner held on Saturday 27th July 2013 as part of the Little Athletics Victoria Centrefest at Bendigo, Diamond Valley Little Athletics Centre came 20th in the Top Centre Award for the 2012-13 Season. There are 103 Centres in LAVic. This was the first season in many years that we have finished outside of the Top 10 and we believe this was primarily due to ‘non-participation’ in LAVic sponsored activities and ‘non-compliance’ with LAVic’s preferred way of doing things, for example, Online Athlete Registration.
Diamond Valley came third in the State Championships Medal Tally. This is the second year for this award, in which we came second in Season 2011-12. It is based on the medals won across all State Championship events throughout the season. Last season was another great year of achievements for Track & Field and our best for Cross Country since 1990!
