How much does it cost?
Little Athletics is a cost effective activity compared to many other sporting and recreational pursuits.
The Centre provides the equipment, facilities and consumables that enable your child to participate in Little Athletics each week. The Centre fees set out below include the cost of registration with Little Athletics Victoria ($68.15) and a basic insurance cover premium (excess applies).
The Centre component of registration fee ($48.85) allows registered children to participate in the Track & Field season, the Cross Country season and the On Track program (for U6 and U7 age groups).
Athletes will not have performances recorded unless they are registered prior to the competition day.
Fees for our summer competition at DVLAC differs between clubs and covers the DVLAC season from September to March.

For families of six (6) or more, please consult a member of the Centre Executive or your Club President. On top of the State & Centre component, there will be an additional fee payable to the specific club you have joined. This fee will vary between clubs, and usually covers costs such as weekly subscription fees, fundraising, club equipment etc (refer to the additional costs below). There will also be a cost involved in purchasing your clubs competition uniform – approximately $30. Please discuss club specific fees with your club. The cost of a new registration for the Winter Cross Country season (only) will be $50 for each child. Additional Costs incurred on a “User Pays” basis are:
- Weekly Track & Field subs to the Centre of $4.00 per athlete (including U6 & U7 – On Track) apply with Clubs free to charge an additional amount to cover their own costs. Clubs will be billed in arrears based on the number of athletes recorded by the Centre as having competed on any given week.
- Weekly Cross-Country competition subs of $4.00 per athlete payable on the program day, up to a maximum of $10.00 per family.
- Payment of costs associated with entry to Region or State Track & Field Championship will be the responsibility of each athlete separately, paid directly online via the LAVic website.
- Payment of costs associated with entry to Region or State Multi Event Championship will be the responsibility of each athlete separately, paid through the athlete’s club for Region Multi Event and directly online via the LAVic website for State Multi Event.
